I went to SAN Kai for lunch with my son. My son is a fussy eater and I was looking for a place were he could eat properly. A very nice lady called my attention and explained the menu, and offer some suggestions for my son and I. The food was okay, nothing extraordinary but well made and served. The star of the day was definitely the customer service, the drive to give the customer a good experience make me want to visit the place again.

One of the best oriental food experiences Brisbane had to offer. The sushi and don are sensational. Edit: this is to that lady who was talking about her work experience in her review: I was one of the customers who were there during their argument. They didn't even yell at her and she started sitting down on the table next to mine and talking to herself about her trauma and how they are not willing to accept her for who she is and won't let her bring her comfort animal to work. Like not even joking full on eyes staring forward, fists clenched, mumbling to herself. They tried to move her so that she doesn't disturb the other diners and she started taking photos and getting all upset like "You dare harm me? You dare harm me?" She screamed. "I will destroy you." Like bro needs to chill and seek therapy.

Food is reasonably priced considering its south bank. Bento box is larger then most places. It's rare to find a place that sells eel, I haven't had eel since I was a kid so I jumped on this and it was so good, Better then a fatty pork belly. Well presented. Nice place with the family.

Had a delightful food experience with my little family here recently. Staff were polite and engaging. The menu (as in the physical menu book) had a fair bit of wear and could do with a new update. The appearance of the restaurant was warm and inviting. Access through the area was good. There may be some challenges if you are in a wheelchair and wanted or booked to be seated inside. Unsure of the toilet arrangements as we didn't require them. Once we ordered our selections of meals it didn't take long for them to arrive (may 15 mins). Food portions were excellent and nicely presented. The overall ambience was good and it seemed to have a nice hum and vibe to the place. Would recommend this Japanese Restaurant for a nice time.

Whilst there is a full blown restaurant here, on today's visit I sampled a Bento Box for a late lunch. Their service is swift and efficient and certainly no fuss. Lunch value is good and there are a lot of options. Tasty and quick. You can also get take away. There are steam buns also There are plenty of long tables to cater for large groups. Plenty of seating inside and out. Staff are friendly though it may be difficult to get their attention. They will allow split bills.

Came here on a whim before a show. The star rating had me a little worried. Once we arrived we were seated quickly. We ordered 2x Terriyaki Chicken and rice, Tempura Udon and a Tempura Prawn roll. My child wasn't impressed with their Terriyaki chicken, and they love their Terriyaki. I didn't snag a taste so I can't comment. My other child liked their Prawn roll - I managed to have a piece and I have no complaints either, was delicious. When having Japanese - my usual go to is udon. I love udons. I have no complaints about this one, it tastes normal. Not mind blowing but it wasn't bad either. I will say the price point was a bit more than I would have liked to spend, but I guess in this current climate we cant expect things to be cheaper anymore. Over all I'd say it was a good experience - food was okay. Food came out quickly - the sushi roll took a bit of time as they were making it. Tables and atmosphere was alright too. Not loud, we could hear each other okay.
